Abu Muhammad Al Adil
Abu Muhammad al-`Adil ( Abu Muhammad al-` Adil bin Yusuf) was born on an unknown date. He was selected as caliph Almohad in Spain in 1224 in competition with Abd al-Wahid al-Makhlu , dethroned by his followers in Morocco in September 1224. He drowned in a pool palace ( 1227 ).
History
The Hafsids while seated in Tunis , but still considered part of the sheikhs of Marrakech which they originated had a candidate out of their clan, Abu Zakariya 'Yahya said that some time after independence ( 1236 ).
When he died two contenders are present:
- Abu al-`Ala 'Idris al-Ma'mun supported by the Christian ruler Ferdinand III of Castile
- Yahya al-Mu `tasim son of Muhammad an-Nasir supported by the sheikhs of Marrakech.
It was as vizier
- Abu Zayd bin Muhammad Abi Abi Hafs ( 1,223 - one thousand two hundred and twenty-seven ) ( Abu Zayd ibn Abi Muammad ibn Abi Hafs), part of the family Hafsid.
