Abu Mansur Nizar Al Aziz Billah
Abu Mansur Nizar al-Aziz Billah Biography In 988 he founded in Cairo one of the first universities in the world of al-Azhar mosque. Thirty-five teachers of the law resident, pointed by the Caliph, and give lessons every Friday after prayers. A library of eighteen thousand volumes is formed. He died 13 October 996. Do not confuse Abu Mansur Nizar al-Aziz Billah with Nizar Abu Mansur bin al-Mustansir which gives its name to Nizari ( 1045 - 1097 ). Note
