Abu Inan Faris
Abu Inan Faris `bin` Ali ( ) was born in 1329. He succeeded his father Abu al-Hasan ibn `Utman as Sultan Marinid in 1348. He died strangled by his vizier when he was dying 27 November 1358 .
History
He describes himself as "Commander of the Faithful (amir al-Muminin). It must eliminate one of his nephews who had taken power in Fez.
After that he resumed his work and his father built the madrassah that bears his name to Fez , the madrasah Bou Inania.
It takes Tlemcen and Candle ( 1352 ) and Tunis , but the revolt continued and the state Merinid continues to weaken.
