Abu Hassan Al Shadhili

Abu Hassan al-Shadhili ( ), called Sidi Belhassen Chedly, born about 1197 in Morocco and died in 1258 in Egypt , is a holy Muslim of Moroccan origin. Nicknamed the "Imam of the believers", he founded the Order Sufi of Shadhiliyya.

Deemed to be a sheriff Idrisid from the lineage of Omar bin Idris (son of Idriss II ), it is born within the group of Beni Zeroual Ghomari dependent tribe Akhms, and living in the country Jebala ; it is attached to the branch Ghatiyin References
