Abu Dhar Al Ghifari
Jundub Junadah ibn ( Arabic : ), better known by the name Abu Dhar al-Ghifari ( Arabic : ) was a companion of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad. He belonged to the tribe of Banu Ghifar. He died at al-Rabadha, a village north-east of Medina.
He was one of muhajirun , who had emigrated to the cause of Islam.
Biography
We do not know his date of birth and few things before entering Islam are known. His tribe, the Ghifar were a branch of Banu Kinanah (in) , and is found in south-west of Mecca, it controlled the passage of caravans and pillaged a few.
He heard one day that someone claimed to be prophet in Mecca and he went there to report yourself; Ali , after seeing him near the Kaabah for several days, took him to Muhammad at his request Abu Dhar and said her shahada in front of him, thereby becoming one of the earliest converts to Islam.
He then declared his faith openly before the Quraish who fought hard; Al 'Abbas - the uncle of the Prophet - Quraish intervened and reminded that it is the banu Ghifar that control the passage of caravans in the region and they could put them back.
