Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktoum
Abd-Allah ibn Umm-Maktum (in Arabic : ) is one of the companions of the Prophet Islamic Muhammad.
He is one of the first converts to Islam, on which the sura "Abasa" was revealed. The prophet was subsequently a very high regard for this character and many times, it led the prayer when he was on an expedition.
Although he was blind, he participated in battles. He died at the Battle of Al-Qadisiya being firmly attached to the standard Muslim. See also
