Abdallah Ibn Yasin
Abdullah ibn Yasin, a native of Souss ( Morocco ), is the spiritual leader of the dynasty of the Almoravids.
Towards the middle of the eleventh century , the return of Ibrahim ibn Yahya al-Godal (Chief Lemtouna and Godal) and notables of the tribe of the pilgrimage to Mecca, he met at Kairouan, a law professor Maliki , a native of Morocco Abu el-Fasi imran. Realizing his ignorance, he asked one of his disciples to teach the Koran to the tribes sanhadjiennes desert. But no city that surrounded the teacher would not preach so hard companions. Abu Yahya imran then indicated, a scholar of extreme Souss likely to find a preacher among his students. One of them, Abdullah ibn Yassin agreed to follow the leader of Lemtouna.
