The Abbey Maredsous is a monastery Benedictine founded in the nineteenth century in Belgium in the town of Anhe in the province of Namur. It was founded on 15 November 1872 by the Abbey Beuron with financial support from the family Descle , who donated the land, paid for the design and construction of buildings which are the work of architect Jean-Baptiste Bethune (1831-1894).
Abbey Maredsous now belongs to the Congregation of the Annunciation in the Benedictine Confederation.

Chronology
- 1855 (June-July): Ernst Wolter (later Dom Placide) entered the abbey of Saint Paul Outside the Walls in Rome.
- 1863: Foundation of the Abbey Beuron.
- 1872 (March 22): First contact between the abbey and the family Beuron Descle the purpose of building the Maredsous. (June 27): Monks Beuron formally decide this foundation. A priory was founded under the direction of Dom Maur Wolter, who restored the monastic life in Germany.
- 1878: The Priory Maredsous is elevated to an abbey by Pope Leo XIII in 1878 and is part of the Congregation of Beuron.
- 1920: Maredsous is with the Abbey of Mont Cesar of Leuven and of St. Andrew's Abbey in Bruges , the Belgian Benedictine Congregation of the Annunciation.
