A Guy Called Gerald is the stage name DJ mancunien Gerald Simpson, born 16 February 1967 and currently residing in Berlin.
Simpson has remixed songs for Tricky , David Bowie and the Stone Roses. He has worked with Masters Scratchbeat , Deee-Lite (1997) and was part of 808 State.
Depending on the period, the music composed by Simpson has explored different styles and genres ( house , acid house , jungle , drum'n'bass , deep house and dub ).
One of his classics, Voodoo Ray is part of the original soundtrack of the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (programmed radio SFUR ).
