The Christianity is a religion monotheistic ( a universal character ), originated in the first century by Judaism, based on the teaching of Jesus , acknowledged as the Christ crucified and rose again, his teaching is presented in the New Testament literature.

Along with Judaism and Islam , Christianity is classified as an Abrahamic religion. This religion is more widespread , with about 2.1 billion believers worldwide. As a religion, Christianity has its contents (doctrine). These, according to tradition, are based on the revelations of God to the people of Israel (also common to traditional Judaism ), the preaching of the Gospel with the doctrine of salvation in Jesus of Nazareth called the Christ ('anointed,' 'consecrated' by God).
